The UNISPEC GROUP was established in 1982 with an
office in Singapore and one in MALAYSIA. The concept
was to provide efficient, reliable and personal service
in the field of cargo inspection for commodity traders,
manufacturers, shipping companies, insurance companies,
buyers and sellers. As our reputation grew, so did
our list of clients. We added three more offices in
The Peninsula Malaysia to provide our clients the
services which are very much needed. Our inspectors
travelled all around the Asia Pacific Region and even
as far as Europe and The United States of America
on behalf of our clients.
The latest addition to UNISPEC
SERVICES was the setting up of UNISPEC ADJUSTERS &
SURVEYORS. Our Marine and Insurance Division, which
since its inception in mid-1985 is well accepted for
its high standard, prompt and professional services
to the Marine Insurance and Shipping Community. We
are proud to announce that in the year 2000, we were
certified to ISO 9002 by URAS and in 2002 we have
upgraded to ISO 9001 : 2000.

Our scope of work covers On / Off Hire survey of vessel, ROB, Pre- Purchase, Insurance, Safety Inspection of vessels, Cargo Damage, Bunker Survey, Petroleum products, Petrol-chemicals, Crude Oil, Edible /Vegetable Oils, Spices, Fertilizers and last of all but not least, ISO tanks, Reefer and General purpose containers survey / inspections. We develop and provide a service which protects the interest of our clients at a critical time, e.g., when the physical or legal custody of shipment changes, where there is potential hazard of loss, damage, contamination, fraud or oversight. As an organization, we pride ourselves on our standard of service and through these efforts have good support from local and foreign insurance companies.
